Today is Orange Shirt Day, the day chosen to memorialize the Indigenous children who were forced into boarding schools. We remember them by wearing orange shirts, a reminder of the atrocities inflicted upon the children at the hands of their colonizers. Ribbons and pins can be found in the cafeteria during both lunches to show your support. Thank you for wearing orange today.
• WAIT. Is it WEDNESDAY?? A little BSU member told me that Black Student Union's FIRST MEETING is on WEDNESDAY next week in A301! AND EVERYONE'S INVITED? • Attention Juniors! If you are interested in STEM career pathways in flight, aerospace design and space travel then you should consider applying for the Washington Aerospace Scholarship program through the Museum of Flight and the University of Washington. Successful makes you eligible for UW credit and an invitation to participate in a prestigious week-long summer experience working with NASA scientists and UW students. Also, on Friday we are packing the stands for a Football game against Jackson high school at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is at is at 8pm and the theme is minions, so make sure to where your spirit and show up ready to cheer. Admission is free with ASB and $5 without.
