Okay, remember when I said just yesterday That all books were due right away? Well… that may be only partly true— Because summer reading is coming for you! If you’d like to keep your books through summer break, Bring them to the library—that’s all it takes. We’ll change the due date and make it okay, So you can read all summer and absolutely slay
Seniors, if you missed your chance on Wednesday, you would still have one final opportunity on Friday during field day to leave your senior handprint from 10:30-11:30.
There’s still time to take advantage of our Year End Sale at The Nest with build your own slushies, orange creamsicles, and chips for just 50 cents. See you at lunch!

Everett High School Bowling is proud to recognize Lexie Zabel for being selected as a Positive Athlete Award recipient by the Positive Athlete Foundation. Lexie was one of only seven student-athletes from Washington State to receive this honor, standing out among more than 15,000 athletes nationwide representing over 6,000 schools. This award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding character, leadership, sportsmanship, and a positive impact on their teammates and community. Please join us in congratulating Lexie on this incredible accomplishment and for representing Everett High School with such distinction.

It’s that time of year to look under your bed, In your car, or maybe even at Fred’s. Find those library & and text books, and return them with haste, Before fines come calling—there’s no time to waste!
Seniors! Today is senior distribution day for yearbooks! Seniors have today after school until 2:45 in the library to pick-up pre-purchased yearbooks. If seniors have not purchased a yearbook you have today after school, Tuesday, and Wednesday, to purchase a Yearbook from the Treasurer's office, $70 CASH ONLY! No yearbooks will be distributed on Thursday. Everyone else who has pre-purchased a book can pick it up on field day, and will have the chance to buy a book while supplies last, still $70 CASH ONLY! And don't forget when you pick up your yearbook, you must show your student ID.
Happy Pride Month Seagulls! As we enter this last month of school, we also pause to celebrate the contributions of LGBTQ+ people both present and past. Pride month is about so much more than historical impact. It is about self-recognition, selfdetermination, and equality. We wish all a month of celebration, love, and joy. The pride flag will be raised on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of June.
This is just a reminder that the National Honor Society Senior Breakfast is Tuesday, June 2 from 6:45am-7:20. Bring your service hour forms if Mrs. Carlson has not received those yet so you can receive your honor cord at the breakfast. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning.

Congratulations to our March CHAMPS winners: Yasmein B, Jhoan C, Christian G, Jonathan M. Oscar M, Maryleen N, and Daniel U. These students were elected by staff members because they exhibited one or more of our CHAMPS characteristics: Character, Heart, Attitude, Mindset, Perseverance, and Strength. You can read their comments on the CHAMPS bulletin board by the A building front doors.
Culture night meeting is cancelled for today.
There will be no GSA meeting today after school. If you are planning to attend the GSA Summit and have your completed field trip form ready, you can still drop it off with Mrs. Karmil today. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 14 – see you then!
Seagulls! March Madness is in full swing, and our brackets are quickly being narrowed down to our final four. Our top four teams in the men's bracket are Mrs. Scott (UConn), Mrs. Eisenkraft (Illinois), Mrs. Acheson (Arizona), and Mrs. Gomez (Michigan). In the women's bracket, our top four is Mrs. Tarampi (UConn), Mrs. McCausland (UCLA), Mr. Huang (Texas), and Mr. Nations (South Carolina). Remember, the winning class will get a prize, so be sure to cheer your team on! Stay tuned to hear who qualifies for the National Championship!

Hey Seagulls! Do you want to hear some news that is quite literally - out of this world? Tomorrow at 3:24 Pacific Time, the Artemis Two Rocket will launch from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This crewed orbit of the moon will be the first time Americans have traveled to lunar orbit in 53 years. It is also the second step towards the re-landing of Americans on the moon and the building of the U.S. Lunar Station, ON the moon. So... do NOT miss this moment in American history as we follow in the steps of the famous Apollo program!
Congratulations to the Everett Girls Golf team as they competed in the Dolan Invite at the Everett Golf and Country Club yesterday. Top Score for Everett was a 5th place finish by Katie Zerbst - shooting an 82! Celis Roberson shot 106 and Abby Wall rounded out the scoring with a 116. The team will be back in action tomorrow at Legion at 3 pm.

In honor of the Rodeo Reguetón Dance, Latinos Unidos and Latinos in Action are putting on a spirit week starting next week, Monday 23rd leading up to the day of the dance on Friday 27th Monday is Jersey Day: wear your favorite sports/club of any team/group of your choice. Tuesday is Flag Day: represent your country by wearing the colors of the flag or bringing a flag. Wednesday is Beach Day vs Carne Asada (Family Cookout): wear an outfit to represent you at the beach/tropical island vs an outfit you'd wear as the family cookout! The Cast Iron Orcas (5941), our FIRST Robotics Competition team, participated in the Glacier Peak Regional Qualifier at Glacier Peak High School this past weekend. The team had a record of 3-9 with an overall record of 7-12 in the qualifying round of the robot game Rebuilt and was selected as the second pick for Alliance 2, which advanced to the finals, where Alliance 2 placed 2nd overall for the event. This is the best qualifying result in Cast Iron Orca history. If you are interested in joining the team or just learning more, please see Mr. Flatmo or Mrs. Karmil for more information! HOSA returned last week from an amazing State Leadership Conference! 40 students had the opportunity to explore Spokane and healthcare careers through various workshops, competitions, and activities. Two students in particular took away medals and are bringing Everett High to the international competition in June: Mia Ma with 2nd and 6th place wins, and Arturo Gomez placing 2nd in two events. We are so proud of the hard work and growth we have seen in our Seagulls!

There are MANY ways to partake in Culture Night this year, you can host an info or activity booth, teach a 15 mins workshop about your culture, or do a performance such as dancing or signing, you can also be part of the planning committee. The Cast Iron Orcas, our FIRST Robotics Competition team, participated in the Bonney Lake Regional Qualifier at Bonney Lake High School. The team had a record of 6-6 in the qualifying rounds and was selected for the fifth alliance for the elimination tournament. They played two matches, but did not advance to the final bracket. The team won the imagery award for the event. The team competes again this weekend at Glacier Peak High School on Saturday (3/14) and Sunday (3/15). Spectators welcome! If you are interested in joining the team or just learning more, please see Mr. Flatmo or Mrs. Karmil for more information!

Congratulations to EHS Artists!! The district art show is currently on display at the Community Resource Center. Hundreds of students entered work from our 4 high schools. The following are some of our winners. In the category of Digital Art, Sophia Barlow and Bella Troung both won top awards. Ludovica Helen Murolo, Anyah Walker and Sterling Stahl all earned honorable mentions in the drawing category with Geneva Patton taking a first place win. In the Fiber Arts Category, Marbi Devi earned both a 1st and 2nd place award, and Madeline Sakai earned 1st in advanced fiber arts. Andy Phan and Gabriel Konda earned awards in beginning painting with Gabriel taking a 1st place. Our photography students stood out in both the advanced and intermediate levels taking almost all the awards! Congrats to Kaden Lee, Cashton Moore, Joseph Cherry and Moises Luna. In sculpture, which includes ceramics, Ella Fleckenstein, Ava Fleckenstein, Meagan McMains, Viktoria Zadorozhnyi, Evie Saeteurn, and Lily Samuelson all earned high honors. Finally, taking the BEST IN SHOW award is our Ap Art Senior, Lily Samuelson.

Seagulls! Today is the day! At 3:24pm the launch window will open for the Artemis Two Rocket to make its way to the moon. On board will be, the first women, person of color, and Canadian to ever leave low-earth orbit. Their ten-day mission will be around the dark side of the moon and mark the first time humans have ventured so far from home in 50 years! So, today at 3:24, make sure you are watching this major step in human history and the next step towards building a Lunar Station by 2030!"

Last week your girls golf team competed in the 3A State tournament in Spokane, WA. The team of Katie Zerbst, Celis Roberson, Abby Wall, Zuza Jaross and Amanda Ryan finished off a successful season by finishing in the top 20 in state. Congratulations to Katie Zerbst of shot an 88 – 82 to finish 41st out of 140 golfers. If you see any of the golfers around school this week tell them congratulations!

Congratulations to freshman Gavin Lewis as he made the 1st round cut at the state golf tournament shooting a 4 over par 75 to qualify for today's final round at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane. This is a huge accomplishment for Gavin as he represents and competes for The School of Champions.

National Honor Society Members - there are two events today, May 5 after school. The first event is our first guest speaker today at 2:10pm in Mrs. Carlson's room A309 speak on being a leader and leadership skills. The second event is helping set up and decorate the staff room for teacher appreciation week. If you want to help with decorating, meet outside the second floor staff lounge to assist the PTA with that. Volunteer time is available for both events.

Our track team competed at Freshmen Champs yesterday for the first time in 10 years, and the athletes did not disappoint. The boys’ team placed 2nd and nearly cracked 100 points. We finished ahead of very strong Stanwood and Lake Stevens teams. The girls’ team place 4th. Our Freshmen outperformed Jackson while also exceeding 100 points!Our success came from winning a combined 7 events, 35-top 8 finishes, and 15 PRs set by the kids. And, we also couldn’t have done this without athletes stepping up to run in relays. Every team that ran in a relay scored points for the team. A tremendous effort!Our last regular season is this Friday at Everett Memorial. City Champs is where Everett takes on Cascade and Jackson in our only tri-meet of the season. Following the strength our Freshmen showed, we are looking to give Jackson a run for the money this Friday. We have a talented team of athletes that will push themselves to the limits to see what they can accomplish.If you are interested in attending, the first field event will likely start at 4, with the first running event starting at 4:30.

National Honor Society Members - there are two events this Tuesday, May 5 after school.
The first event is an invitation to hear our first guest speaker on Tuesday, May 5 at 2:10pm in Mrs. Carlson's room A309 speak on being a leader and leadership skills. The second event is to help set up and decorate the staff room for teacher appreciation week. If you want to help with decorating, meet outside the second floor staff lounge to assist the PTA with that. Volunteer time is available for both events.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10 and Junior Senate has your Mother’s Day gift covered! Stop by our pop-up craft sale all next week in the library during both lunches. We’ll have candles and potted flowers for just $5 each. You can decorate a flower pot for Mom, or create a custom label for your candle jar. Or both! Not feeling crafty? That’s okay, we’ll have ready-to-go options available as well. Supplies are limited so come see us early and bring cash!
Congratulations to freshman Gavin Lewis for being selected as the WIAA Athlete of the Week for Boys Golf. Gavin is being recognized for his brilliant play this past week at the Palouse Ridge Invitational Golf Tournament held in Pullman. Gavin shot a 3 under par, 69 to lead the Seagull golfers to a 7th place team finish and him finishing 3rd place individually out of 94 golfers. In addition to the WIAA award, Gavin is up for The Everett Herald's Athlete of the Week. Voting ends today, so be sure you vote for Gavin for Prep Athlete of the Week.
